A meeting with our karate fighters has been held

Today at the Ministry of Youth and Sports held a meeting with the Azerbaijan karate fighters who returned from the European Championship in Guadalajara, Spain.
Farid Mansurov, the Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry, congratulated the athletes. He wished the team members a chance to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Games.
President of the National Karate Federation of Azerbaijan Yashar Bashirov said that Rafael Aghayev and Irina Zaretska have high chances of the winning the Olympic licenses.
Rafael Aghayev (75 kg) won a silver and Asiman Gurbanli (+84 kg) won a bronze medal in the European championship. Roman Heydarov has got the third place in the kata.
