The opening ceremony of the Real Madrid Social Football School has been held in Baku

The opening ceremony of the Real Madrid Social Football School was held in Baku on May 18, 2018.
The ceremony took place at the Training Center for the National Teams. Representatives of the Real Madrid Foundation - Real Madrid Football Club Ricardo Gallego and Elena Fernandez, General Manager of the Real Madrid Foundation for Europe, attended the event.
Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov, who participated in the ceremony, said the country was constantly supporting the development of football. He noted that the opening of such a school is very important for the development of children's football in Azerbaijan.
The Real Madrid Social Football School project is being implemented as a result of collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main implementing partner is the Development Sports Public Union. The main goal of the Real Madrid Football School is to support the development and mass development of football in the country.
In the Social Football School, about 80 children are drawn to teams in the four age groups (7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14). The trainings are held twice a week at the secondary school N. 267 and on the grounds of “Pioneer” Football School. Trainings are free.

It should be noted that the Real Madrid Social Football School was created within the framework of the "Cooperation Agreement" signed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Republic in 2013. The new project was signed in January 2018 due to the successful outcome of the first project.
The Real Madrid Foundation Social Football School in Azerbaijan is the first in the CIS and the 8th in Europe.
