President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation of the 55th Convention of the World Boxing Council in Baku on October 03, 2017
The delegation was led by the President of the World Boxing Council Maurizio Suleiman, the presidents of the European Boxing Union, North American Boxing Federation, British Boxing Supervisory Board, former world champions WBC Evander Holyfield, Kostya Dzyu, Yuri Arbachkov, Vitali Klichko, Nino Benvenuti, Carlos Zarate, Azumah Nelson, Bernard Hopkins and WBC current world champion Jelena Mrdjenovich.
WBC champion belts were presented to President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva as a souvenir gift for their support for the boxing development.
