Azad Rahimov: "The 1st European Games have a great support to the Azerbaijan sportsmen in winning 18 medals at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games"

Minister of Youth and Sports of the Azerbaijan Republic, a member of the Minsk 2019 European Games Coordinating Commission Azad Rahimov is in official visit to Belarus in order to participate in the meeting of the Coordinating Commission and where he gave interview to the local TV Channels TVR.BY and CTV.BY. 
Minister Azad Rahimov emphasized the importance of the meeting of the Coordinating Commission that took place within this preparatory process and said that today there are experts from different countries of the world who have great experience in the Olympic, European and World championships.
Azad Rahimov: "It is a fact that the main goal of the Coordination Commission is to assist Belarus in hosting the Minsk-2019 II European Games at a high level. Another goal is to increase the number of tourists coming to Minsk. In addition, if the information about the culture, traditions, music and history of the country will be transmitted to the public through the mass media, it also can be considered to reach the goal. You must do this, because Belarus is a beautiful state and we really want many tourists to visit this country. "
Azad Rahimov especially emphasized that the living in the Village of Athletes during the European Games, where they were closely acquainted with this environment, at the same time the fighting against very strong opponents in sports competitions, assisted the Azerbaijan athletes to have psychological, physical and spiritual readiness for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
A member of the Coordinating Commission Minister Azad Rahimov talking about the high level of hosting of prestigious sports competitions in Azerbaijan and, thus, the development of a professional young generation with sufficient knowledge and experience suggested the possibility of using of the Azerbaijan human resources during the preparation for the Minsk 2019 II European Games.
It should be noted that 4000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 15 sports and 12 sports arenas during the II European Games Minsk-2019.
